Features:

1.Speed Skimmer Trough
In any steam boiler installation, it's important that the water is kept free from dirt and contaminants that can cause surging and malfunction. With ordinary steam boilers, elimination of these contaminants is a cumbersome and time-consuming problem. Now, with the speed skimmer trough built into Galaxy "PZ" steam boilers, skimmer time and efforts are reduced dramatically. Surface films of grease, oil and other contaminants cascade into the trough and are discharged through an ordinary 3/4" drain cock. It makes skimming as easy as turning a faucet.

2.Metal Push Nipples
All cast-iron boilers are made with multiple sections that are joined together. Slant/Fin uses only metal push nipples that expand and contract with the individual boiler sections that they connect. The rubber gaskets that are subtituted for push nipples in many other boilers are subject to corrosion and deterioration.This result in water leaking from the boiler and major repair bills.

3.Insulated Base
Base is constructed of heavy gauge aluminized steels. Thick refractory type instulation surrounds combution chamber m minimizing standby losses and increasing efficiency.

4.Long-Life Burners
Quiet, light and install or remove. Same burners serve natural or propane gas. Special port construction will not permit flame to "lift" or flash back. Galaxy burners last longer too becasue of low operating temperature.

5.Automatic, motorized vent damper
Increases efficiency of boiler by reducing standby losses. Motor close the chimney vent when the burner is off, fully opens it anticipaton of combustion. An interlock prevents burner operation unless the damper is in an open position. Damper is spring loaded, and will open chimney vent on power failure. Factory installed polarized receptacle provided for quick connect to vent damper.

6.Energy saving intermittment pilot ignition system
When thermostat calls for heat, soild state igniter sparks to light pilot. Senor reads pilot flame and open main gas valve. Avaliable only for 24 volt, natural gas.
